This journey called life has been a trying time for me. My family's health has been a test of me faith and understanding to say the least. It isn't over with just yet. I came across this saying, I thought I would share it. Just in case someone needed a gentle reminder like I did.
I have decided to work on 2 quilt projects that will be mostly hand stitched:
- Jane Austin 250th Anniversary Quilt With the applique, as well as pieced blocks, borders, and hand quilting to be done the project will probably take 2+ years. The templates for the applique blocks arrive tomorrow. I still need to pick out fabric. This will be a work of love and patience.
- Quilt As You Go Rectangle using the Daisy and Grace 2.5" square and 5"x 2.5" rectangle templates. I have the inside pieces cut for this one. I still need to cut the batting and background for it. How long it will take will depend on the finished size I want it to be. Creative choices aren't they wonderful.
I will post photos once I have begun the hand stitching and applique process. Follow along to find out what I discover during this journey.
This will be how I work to find my inner peace again. While I am stitching I will be listening to soothing music, positive podcast, or audio books. If you have any suggestions, let me know.
Thank you joining the journey.
Enjoy The Walk,
Susan
